As the Kingsmere development grows, the Churches in Bicester Kingsmere Welcome Group is working to build community. Every new resident is given a welcome card and a home-made cake – but that’s just the start. We’ve started a toddler group, held barbecues and cream teas; delivered community newsletters and a residents’ survey; helped encourage the formation of the Kingsmere Residents Association; organised a Play Bus; held community carol-singing events; started a Bible Study Group… Now the new St Edburg’s School is open, there’s now a base for craft evenings, messy church, community café mornings, and much more.
